We'd Rather Talk Than Sell

Most people who contact Group of Charleston have the same question: “Is this the right gym for me?” The honest answer is that we don't know until we talk. Our front-desk team isn't on commission, isn't running a closing script, and genuinely wants to point you toward the right membership tier — even if that's a competitor's facility for someone whose goals are a poor fit for what we do here. If you're in Houston and curious about structured community training, the simplest thing is to drop in during open-gym hours, take a free trial class, or call us at the number below. We're at 4821 Westheimer Rd and accessible from the Galleria and Greenway Plaza corridors without difficulty. Parking is free and available directly in front of the building.

“I emailed on a Thursday afternoon with a long list of questions — I've had two knee surgeries and needed to know exactly what modifications were available before I committed. Coach Marcus responded personally within two hours with specific answers about every class format. That email exchange is actually why I joined. The response was that substantive.”

First-Visit Questions

What should I bring for my first visit?

Athletic shoes appropriate for lifting (flat sole preferred for strength work, running shoes fine for conditioning classes), comfortable training clothes, and a water bottle. Towels, filtered water, and lockers are provided. Do not bring valuables you can't secure — combination locks are available at the front desk for $5.

Can I tour the facility without committing to anything?

Absolutely. Walk-in tours happen daily during front-desk hours. A coach will show you the training floor, locker rooms, stretching suite, and equipment. The tour takes 15 to 20 minutes. You won't be handed a membership form at the end — that's a deliberate policy.

Is there parking?

Yes — free surface parking is available directly in front of the building at 4821 Westheimer Rd, with additional street parking on the adjacent side street. The facility is also a 6-minute walk from the nearest Metro bus stop on Westheimer.

Do you offer any trial options before I buy a membership?

New visitors can train free for seven days — this includes open-gym access and up to two coach-led classes of your choice. No payment information is required upfront. If you decide to join after the trial, any day you trained during that week counts toward your first billing period.
